Today is the release day for a brand new book by Heather Day Gilbert.
I am privileged enough to be an early reader for this delightful book. If you enjoy mysteries, you will want to read this one!!(I don’t have it finished yet, so I will post my review later.)
I was first introduced to this set when I received an audio version of the second one in the series, Trial By Twelve. Prior to this, I hadn’t read any of Heather Gilbert’s books.
This series is set in a small town in West Virginia. Tess Spencer is the main character. In the second book, she starts investigating because the crime happened right at her feet, so to speak.
After listening to the second one, I was hooked! Then I went back and read the first book in the series, Miranda Warning. Of course, it would have been better to read that one first! 🙂
When I heard there would be a third book coming out, I couldn’t wait.
These books have quite a bit of suspense, and the characters themselves, especially Tess, are downright delightful, and lots of fun! Because Tess is married, there is not a lot of romance involved. (I find this refreshing.)
In each book, there are so many plot twists, and unexpected events, the author keeps you guessing until the end.
