Most Anticipated Reads

For something different, today I thought I’d share about some books that will be coming out soon that I can’t wait to read!

Dead Drift by Dani Pettrey DD51c1vqlgstL This is one that I actually could be reading right now..I have an advance copy on my kindle to read. But…you know that feeling when you reach the last book in a series that you’ve loved…it’s so bittersweet–you want to read it, and yet, you know once you do, then you’ve reached the end…yeah…that is why I haven’t been in a hurry to read it.

If you read this far, you’ve probably determined by now that these are all romantic suspense, which is by far my favorite genre! (I really would have liked to include a bit about each book, but thought this post would get too long.)

These authors are all ‘tried-and-true’ for me. I’ve read their books in the past and loved them.

I do have a few others that I really can’t wait to read that are not in that category:

Shelter of the Most High by Connilyn CossetteSOTMH517IKVv5tIL._SX322_BO1,204,203,200_

I have found Connilyn Cossette’s books to show us Biblical fiction at it’s finest. I just have to share about this book:

The daughter of a pagan high priest, Sofea finds solace from her troubles in the freedom of the ocean. But when marauders attack her village on the island of Sicily, she and her cousin are taken across the sea to the shores of Canaan.
Eitan has lived in Kedesh, a City of Refuge, for the last eleven years, haunted by a tragedy in his childhood and chafing at the boundaries placed on him. He is immediately captivated by Sofea, but revealing his most guarded secret could mean drawing her into the danger of his past.
As threats from outside the walls loom and traitors are uncovered within, Sofea and Eitan are plunged into the midst of a murder plot. Will they break free from the shackles of the past in time to uncover the betrayal and save their lives and the lives of those they love?

Which (if any) of these appeal to you?

What books are on your “must read soon” list?

  1. Shelter of the Most High looks really great. I love Connilyn Cossettes books. I have read A Light o the Hill and just fell in love with Connilyns writing and her wonderful research and biblical history. Legacy of Mercy by Lynn Austin also looks wonderful. I love the covers of both books. I have not been able to get into thrillers.
