Book Review

My Top Reads of 2018

I wanted to give you a list of my top favorite reads from the past year.

This is a very difficult decision.

When I looked at my list of all the books I’ve read in 2018…well…it is rather lengthy. If my list is accurate, I actually read 165 books!

Then, I wanted to narrow it down to my favorite ones. So I looked at my list on goodreads. I gave a 5 star rating to 44 of those books! Well…I didn’t want to be having a list that goes on and on….so I tried to narrow it down to 10.

I just couldn’t quite get there!

I give you my top 12 favorite fiction books I read in 2018.

They are (and this is not in order according to how favorite they were….)

There are so many other books that I could have (and almost did) included. I had the privilege of reading so many good books this past year, and I really hate to have favorites….asking an avid reader to narrow down their favorites is well…almost like choosing a favorite child (I said almost, but not quite). It’s next to impossible.

The reason I chose these books is because they are stories that are not only very well written, but also had a message that resonated deep within me. Stories and characters I won’t soon forget.

Have you read any of these? Are they favorites of yours? What is your favorite book (or books) you read in 2018?
