Four women captured King Solomon’s heart in different ways, and he indulges his desires despite warnings. For all his wisdom, did Solomon or the women he loved ever find what they were searching for?
I found this re-telling of wise King Solomon to be both sad and inspirational.
He has anything anyone could ever want…not to mention all the warnings in the Law…warnings to not have too many wives, too many riches, lest the king’s heart is turned away from God. And yet, somehow, he found himself to be the exception.
This book brings a fresh look at how Solomon’s life might have been like….and it includes what his wives’ lives might have also been like.
It gives us much to think about, and to be reminded of where our own loyalties and love need to lie…how our great God deserves to be first in our lives!
