Book Review

My favorite reads of 2019

You’ve probably seen other lists like this…I’ve seen enough of them I’ve wondered whether it’s necessary to do my own. But. I always find it interesting to see what people consider the best books they’ve read in the past year, so I decided to take some time and compile my own list.

First off, if you’re interested in seeing all the books I’ve read in the past year, I keep track on Goodreads, you should be able to see my list here .

Now. For my favorite fictional reads…I can’t promise that this list is all inclusive, but it does show you some of the books I’ve read this past year that I really enjoyed.

My list…in no particular order.

Finding Lady Enderly by Joanna Davidson Politano

Until the Mountains Fall by Connilyn Cossette (#3 in Cities of Refuge series)

Storm Rising by Ronie Kendig

Ruby Jane (#5 in the Montana Marshalls series) by Susan May Warren (note-this book is excellent, honestly the entire series is top-notch!)

The Bright Unknown by Elizabeth Byler Younts

Echoes Among the Stones by Jaime Jo Wright

The Painted Castle by Kristy Cambron (#3 in Lost Castle series)

One Final Breath by Lynn H Blackburn (#3 in Dive Team series)

Vow of Justice by Lynette Eason(Book #4 in Blue Justice series)

Just One Kiss by Courtney Walsh

Whose Waves These Are by Amanda Dykes

All Manner of Things by Susie Finkbeiner

The Number of Love by Roseanna White

Sweet on You by Becky Wade (Book #3 in the Bradford Sisters series)

Justice Delivered by Patricia Bradley (Book #4 Memphis Cold Case series)

The Bronte Plot by Katherine Reay

Between Two Shores by Jocelyn Green

Brunch at Bittersweet Cafeby Carla Laureano

Dear Mr. Knightley by Katherine Reay

Heart of a Royal by Hannah Currie

The Lost Princesses Series by Jody Hedlund (Book #1 – Always– a novella)

Well. Initially, I intended to post a list here of all the books I read in 2019 that I rated as a 5 star read. I don’t give very many books 5 stars, so I assumed my list would be short.

As I sat down and started listing them…well, I discovered that list was too long.  33 books, to be exact. So I knew I had to trim it down a bit. What you see is my attempt at narrowing this down!

(somehow, I’m not internet savvy enough to figure out how to attach a link to my images…I love it when you can just click on a picture and it takes you to the right page…but you won’t be able to do that here…if you want to find these books, just search the title on Amazon)

Yep, I got it narrowed down…a little. sigh. Folks, it ain’t gonna get much better than that!!

Have you read any of these? I’d love to hear your thoughts! What was your favorite read of the year?

Coming soon — A post about a few of the books I’m looking forward to reading in 2020!
