My Thoughts

Ever since I read my first Kara Isaac book, this author has been on my must-read list. Her contemporary romances are absolutely top notch and filled with real-life characters and issues we all can relate to. This book is no exception. I think it is a stand alone novel, but the characters are ones that you will be familiar with, if you’ve read One Thing I Know or Can’t Help Falling.

Lacey is truly an unforgettable heroine. She’s worked so hard at her job, pushing her way to a senior position. And then…her boss does a merger and it’s all up for grabs, everything Lacey worked so hard for might be gone. I loved Lacey. Her grit and determination. I loved her seeking nature. I also enjoyed reading her backstory and how Victor played into it.

But, to put it a bit more personally, what i really loved about Lacey is that I saw so much of myself in her. Her fear of putting herself into a position where others could hurt her. And other things, but that’s a start. Kara Isaac has given us a beautiful story of forgiveness and much, much more.

And now, let me also tell you a little bit about Victor….English nobility, he’d made a change from his previous persona as a spoiled playboy. Quite the intriguing person.

Kara Isaac created another absolutely amazing contemporary romance. Fun storyline. Realistic characters with relatable issues. An all around excellent read.

Folks, let me tell you, this story is one you won’t want to miss!

this is absolutely a five star story.
