My Thoughts

I finally made time to just sit down and immerse myself in this story, and I’m so glad I did!

Another amazing novel by Roseanna White.

This one is a bit different from others of hers in that….well, first, it’s a standalone novel (many of hers are in series), and also, it is a dual timeline.

This story is about Louisa in 1914 and Evie in 1942.

I can’t pick a favorite time line, I really loved both. I loved both of the heroines, and also the different settings.

I really enjoyed the mystery that was interwoven in both timelines, and I loved seeing how it all pulled together in the end.

The characters were just, well, really well-written. They came to life for me, and were oh-so-relatable.

The family drama, the romance, the war and intrigue, well, it all combines to be an unforgettable novel, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good historical fiction novel.
